Campsites Poland

Poland is one of those countries new to our offer. Perhaps not one of the countries you would first think of when you think of a camping holiday, but Poland is surprisingly versatile! If you are looking for peace, space, beautiful nature and friendly people, Poland is the place to be. The wide sandy beaches on the Baltic Sea rival those in southern Europe, that's how beautiful they are. And inland you will find beautiful cities like Gdansk. The countryside has many lakes and picturesque villages, where time seems to have stood still. We offer several campsites in Poland.

More over Poland

Poland lies between Germany and Ukraine, among others. The country borders the Baltic Sea to the north and is about 7.5 times the size of the Netherlands.  More than 37 million people live there, which is just over twice the population of the Netherlands. Travellers to Poland mainly go to Kraków, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Auschwitz and the Tatra mountains.

Poland's landscapes are very varied. From the golden beaches on the Baltic Sea to the Great Lakes in the north, and from the peaks of the Tatras to the Bieszczady mountain range in the south. The vast Bialowieska Forest, Europe's largest and oldest primaeval forest, is still almost in its original state and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can even admire wisents, Europe's largest animal. Poland has more than 20 national parks!

Poland has a temperate continental climate, with fairly cool winters and reasonably warm summers. Of all of Europe, Poland is one of the countries with the least precipitation. Summers in Poland are generally not as hot as in Mediterranean countries, but warmer than ours. Due to the influx of warm air from the east, summer temperatures can sometimes reach well above 30 degrees.

The capital of Poland is Warsaw. About 3.5 million people live here. The official Polish currency is the zloty. 5 sloty is about 1 euro. The price level in Poland is generally only slightly below that of the Netherlands.

Poland's extensive road network consists largely of paved roads; unpaved roads can still be found in the countryside.

Camping in Poland

Camping is popular in Poland; there are several hundred campsites. Campsites in Poland are much like those known in other countries, but segregated pitches are rarer. Sanitary facilities are often fine, and in many cases new or renovated, with hot water everywhere. Glamping is also very much on the rise in Poland. Campsites in Poland are divided into stars, from 1 to 4. These do not represent quality, but the facilities the campsite has. At Allcamps you will of course only find the best campsites in the most beautiful places in Poland.
